The Time Has Come
Première of a new UN documentary

ARC International and ILGA held a side event at the Human Rights Council titled “Voices of human rights defenders from around the world on sexual orientation and gender identity” on 5th June 2013. The event featured the première screening of ARC’s 30 minute video documentary filmed at the recent SOGI regional seminars and in countries around the world to gather testimonies and perspectives of human rights defenders based on their experiences and their expectations for next steps related to human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity at the UN. The side event was co-sponsored by the missions of Brazil, France, Norway, Poland and South Africa, and was well attended by States, NGOs and UN representatives.
