ARC International and MantiQitna urge the Human Right Council understand specificity of the violations that LGBTIQ Syrians face
During the Interactive Dialogue on the findings of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic, MantiQitna and ARC International urged the Human Rights Council to “understand the specificity of the violations that LGBTIQ Syrians face and to address them in a sensitive and timely manner thereby ensuring that their rights are protected”.
In a statement delivered during th 31st session of the HRC, ARC and MantiQitna also urged “all States to fulfill their obligations towards protecting Syrian LGBTIQ refugees in accordance with international law”.
