Panelist: Wangshu Lian, LGBTI activist with Common Language and Chinese Lala Alliance

Wangshu Lian hails from the Canadian West Coast and has been dedicated to China’s LGBTI movement for the past eight years through service at Common Language (a Chinese LGBTI rights advocacy organization) and Chinese Lala Alliance (a global network of Chinese-speaking LBT communities). She has worked extensively in LGBTI youth organizing and in the empowerment of civil society to engage in UN human rights mechanisms. She was educated at University of Toronto, where she pursued Sexual Diversity Studies and Women & Gender Studies.
