Sweden […] recommended that Cape Verde continue efforts to ensure that the action of police forces and the conditions in places of detention meet international human rights standards fully, and consider policy measures to promote tolerance and non-discrimination for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.
62. Cape Verde stated that legislation neither forbids nor punishes sexual relations between persons of the same sex, unless minors are involved. Cape Verdean society is traditionally very tolerant.

Cape Verde accepted the following recommendations:
63.36 To consider appropriate policy measures in order to promote tolerance and nondiscrimination for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons (Sweden).
