Submission on language related to gender identity and expression to the UN IE SOGI

Submission on language related to gender identity and expression to the United Nations Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The purpose of this submission is to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the first report (A/HRC/35/36) of the Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity (IE SOGI) that was presented to the Human Rights Council on 6 June 2017 at the United Nations in Geneva.
