8. CHRI stated that there are no laws to protect against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, and recommended a moratorium on public prosecutions under section 377 of the criminal code and a process to repeal section 377.

The Czech Republic made a recommendation to Pakistan on non-marital consensual sex. There were no specific references to sexual orientation or gender identity.
IV. Conclusions and/or recommendations
122. The following recommendations will be examined by Pakistan which will provide responses in due time, but no later than the 22nd session of the Human Rights Council in March 2013. The response of Pakistan to these recommendations will be included in the outcome report adopted by the Human Rights Council at its 22nd session in March 2013.
